With a boosted turnout thanks to the participation of several new teams, the first round of this seasons Winter League proved to be a very even match on most sections; the lowest winning weight still breaking the 10lb barrier. Bar the exception of match winner Ian Belfield, the frame was made up of roach weights; a positive sign that the coming matches will make for an exceptional team series. 45 fished the Arches, Boats, Blackboards, Newbridge and Hunts.
