Despite an array of weights coming off the Newbridge section the fishing proved hard for some, although this didn't stop Vale Royal winning on the day to take a commanding lead going into the next round. Interestingly, all the framing weights bar the winner (all Newbridge) were made up of skimmers and bream. It just goes to show that big fish aren't always needed to win!
