Forming at the junction of the Peover Eye and Smoker Brook, Wincham brook makes its way through Wincham and Lostock before joining the Weaver at Anderton. Game fish including trout and grayling are found here in numbers, along with chub, roach, dace and numbers of gudgeon, making it one of the more interesting waters on the card.
Venue specific rules:
- Fishing is permitted during the period 15th March to 15th June but is restricted to fishing for trout only using an artificial fly or by fishing with worm.
- Wincham Brook is affected by over head power lines and extreme care should be taken when using lead cored fly lines or carbon rods.
