River Dane

General description

The Dane is a superb water, with a large head of chub and barbel present. Other species include: Dace, roach, perch, eels, trout, grayling, bream, pike and carp.
The Association holds the fishing on all of the right hand bank looking down from the bridge on the A556 to the to the viaduct, then the fishing is double bank from the viaduct down to the bridge on the A5509. Parking in either the memorial hall car park or at Dane Valley.

Venue Specifics:

  • The River Dane is closed to all types of fishing from 15th March to 15th June inclusive.
  • There is no night fishing on this water.
